Rubber Visibility
Needed at Pridefest's "Leather Alley"
Please email me (Terry) at org@rmsf.org
if you can wear rubber and be at the Pridefest's Leather Alley this
Sunday June 30th for 1 to 2 hours between 11am and 6pm. I will provide you with
postcard flyers to give to interested men ... especially those in rubber or
showing an interest in your rubber. I will try to set a rough schedule based on
your combined availability.
You can get a bunch of postcard flyers
from me at the Loading Dock between 2300-2345h on Friday night.
Leather Alley is an important part of
SF Pridefest; so visiting and participating is valuable to the greater gay
community; not only to promote RMSF and our upcoming July 12 party.
Here's the scoop:
The location of "Leather
Alley" is the parking lot next to the Wells Fargo Bank on Grove at
Larkin. It is a large area and I am concerned that we must fill it
adequately with ongoing activities so that the parade committee will give it
to us next year. This project of having a united leather presence at
Pride is still developing and we need to keep faith with the Pride committee
by pulling together the diverse elements of the leather community to work
together.
There will be two booth structures
provided by the Pride Committee. We need to fill the rest of the area
with demos. We need crosses and bondage equipment. We need leather
flags. We need all of the clubs to bring their banners to hang. We
need tops and bottoms to keep the demos rolling all afternoon. Much as I
love to flog a deserving boy, my arms were totally worn out last year.
Pity me and bring replacements.
The Leather\Levi Weekend Steering
Committee will be helping with set up and using one of the booths to promote
the weekend. All clubs are encouraged and welcome to use the booths and
to promote themselves and their events in this area.
Please pass the word along to all
who might be interested in helping. Of course, we hope folks will stop by as
they can during the afternoon just to hang out, get tied up or take a turn on
the cross(es) giving or receiving....
