Leather/Fetish Runs and Parties: the Blood, Sweat and Tears
With the summer season here, the party and run season is also upon us.
While for many, parties and runs are a laid-back time of sex and socializing,
others are putting in a lot of effort behind the scenes, and taking a lot of
risks. Tonight we will hear from people involved in putting together two very
different upcoming events, and give you the opportunity to express your ideas
and give some input into what makes for a successful leather/fetish event.
The inaugural Leather/Levi weekend was held last year, and the planning for
this year’s events, to be held at Saratoga Springs the weekend of August
12-14, is progressing at a fast and furious pace. From planning meals to
planning a dungeon, a lot of interested and committed men have stepped forward
to ensure this year’s party lives up to the standard set by that first
event, which garnered a number of community awards. The Rubber Men of SF, a
membership club for men into rubber, latex and PVC, are also busy planning SF
Rubber Party 1 at Blow Buddies on Friday, July 12, as a social event and
play party to recruit new members and revel in their shared fetish.
Our panelists will discuss their involvement and the trials and
tribulations in trying to serve their respective communities with events that
cater to their needs and live up to their expectations of hot, kinky fun. From
the Leather/Levi weekend committee we will be joined by Gary Suto, Jeff
Johnston and Michael Brenner. The Rubber Men of SF will be represented by
Terry, who is instrumental in efforts to revitalize the rubber
community in the Bay Area through this event and other initiatives. For anyone
planning to attend either event, or wanting to learn more about them, this
presentation is the perfect opportunity to make your voice heard.
